Just wanted to give you an update on our life with Banjo since bringing him home.
He has immediately become a cherished part of our family- we love this dog so much and feel like he loves us in return. He is like Velcro on us and wants to be right there no matter where we are. We do have a bit of a separation anxiety issue but it seems to be lessening with time.
Banjo loves stuffed animal toys and now has a whole collection- he loves playing fetch with them in the backyard (he’s not interested in the balls we got him). Banjo also loves our backyard chickens, and while he enjoys chasing them around, he immediately understands that he’s not allowed to put his mouth on them.
When it’s time for our daughter Cece’s bedtime- it has become a nightly ritual that he’ll go lay with her until she falls asleep and then quietly leave and rejoin us. He’s such a good boy!
Big thanks to you and the rest of the FOCCAS team for running this organization- you guys definitely make a difference and we cannot thank you enough for bringing Banjo to us!

FOCCAS is a fully volunteer-staffed animal rescue that relies on adoption fees, donations, and local fundraisers for income. Last year, the organization rescued 209 dogs and 29 cats and placed 224 dogs and six cats into new homes. Our mission is to inspire our community to cultivate the values of kind, compassionate, responsible, and humane care of the county's animals, including stray, feral, and owned, through education and community-based programs and to prevent animal cruelty wherever we find it.
For those who wish to help by donating or purchasing items from the rescue's Wish List, there are links for both on the group's website: https://foccas-tn.org/
